Det årliga provet i engelsk ordkunskap för skånska gymnasister, arrangerat av Sydsvenskan, skrevs i går på fyrtio skolor. I dag publicerar vi de 147 uppgifterna, allt för att även våra läsare skall få testa sina kunskaper i språket.

Lund word championship som arrangeras för sjuttonde gången vänder sig till gymnasister i Skåne. Det är alltså geografiskt begränsat - av hanterliga skäl. Intresset för provet är nämligen stort runt om i landet. Uppgifterna är sammanställda av en kvartett engelsklärare med professor Beatrice Warren vid Engelska institutionen i Lund i spetsen. Institutionen är också medarrangör. Förlaget Natur och Kultur sponsrar bokpriser. Tre priser utgår, alla i form av resecheckar. Skolans vinnare får pris och kallas skolmästare. Resultatet publiceras lördagen den 19 november, då även pristagaren intervjuas. I fjor segrade Sofia Alexandra Malmberg på Polhemskolan i Lund. Hon vann på 134,5 poäng.
